This is genuinely horrific all on its own. Yet there is another vastly overlooked factor in the world of rape:
It’s not just women and girls who get raped.
This asshole says this shit because he thinks it can never affect him. He has zero empathy because to him everything about it – suffering, ptsd, unwanted pregancies and children, abortions, suicides, lifetimes full of mental anguish and a world that will never be safe again – has to do with Somebody Else That Isn’t Him and they can just deal with it, because HIS need for this kind of delusional emotional safety is paramount, with everything and everyone in Their Place (that is Not His Place or anywhere near it).
Rape? So what. They all just need to suffer and deal with it, because right is right and holy is holy and God’s will be done (which ALWAYS seems to reflect his own will) and all that horseshit. And if they would just TRY harder (and stop whining about it) they would surely find healing in it, because God and all that horseshit (see above).
So he lets this kind filth flow out of his little ferretlike mouth without a single clue of the realities involved, for no better reason that it is what HE needs it to be, and everyone just needs to line up with that.
This asshole would be absolutely, literally dumbstruck to be presented with tangible evidence that he, too, could be a victim of rape at any time, in any place.
But I got news for him. Once you start making rape more okay, Senator Amoral Shitstreak, remember that a rising tide lifts all boats, predatory rapists rape boys and grown men too, and you are no safer than the rest.
