A member of a Cybertruck owners’ forum says they were warned that rain could cause their vehicle to rust when collecting their Tesla.
Damn, kinda like paint, like, does something useful besides add color
At the same time, DeLorean figured this out 40 years ago.
DeLorean also had FSD working - just point it at a white line, and it could go for miles.
Wait until it hears about snow and salt
The videos give a glimpse of the owner’s guide, which states: "To prevent damage to the exterior, immediately remove corrosive substances (such as grease, oil, bird droppings, tree resin, dead insects, tar spots, road salt, industrial fallout, etc.).”
So, almost everything that it might come into contact with corrodes it. A1.
A1 is stainless steel 303, the cybertruck is made from some kind of 301. I think A1 would be even worse but I both are apparently not well suited for the task.
I know. Sorry.
The member wrote: “The advisor specifically mentioned the Cybertrucks develop orange rust marks in the rain and that required the vehicle to be buffed out. I know I heard the story of never take out your Delorean in the rain but I just never read anything about rust and Cybertrucks.”
“I know Deloreans, which have stainless steel panels, are prone to rust, how could I possibly have known that Cybertrucks, which have stainless steel panels, would also be prone to rust?”

Makes me smile.
I’m surprised that there are cybertruck owners.
A product made at the image of its owner. Sharp as ice.
Honestly it’s probably not damaging it, just discolors it.
But also, this would probably work great to remove it and prevent it. It smells awful though.
I prefer Bar Keeper’s friend.
That’s not rust, just an orange\brown patina, no worries.
Could always wax…
