You know, you said that and I couldn’t remember, so I looked it up.
In the first impeachment trial, there were two charges. Fifty-two Republican senators voted against the charge of abuse of power, and all fifty-three voted against the charge of obstruction of Congress. Romney only voted to convict on the abuse of power charge, not the obstruction charge.
In the second trial, there was only one charge, incitement of insurrection, and Romney was one of the seven Republican senators who voted to convict.
