I actually dont like Android Auto. It gimps the phone too much. I know you’re not supposed to touch your phone while you drive etc, but I spend more time checking the screen to see if Google has understood my voice command properly (which it never has) versus tapping an icon. for YouTube Music etc.

Also other stupid things like you cant thumbs up / down songs as they play to improve your YT Radio… and other stuff I cant think of just now.

Yes, I found out yesterday Google Voice commands does not like it when two street names sound the same but spelt different (Highland vs. Hyland).

Tried testing getting directions to my parents house, and it tried to send me to NSW. Literally had to spell out the street name. At that point, it would be faster typing it then fluffing around with voice commands.

Personally, I have come from straight bluetooth, so I have never really interacted with a car stereo while driving before. Usually, I would setup my Spotify playlist and maps before moving the vehicle. Good to know of the limitations, but maybe that’s intentional so the driver doesn’t start pressing buttons while driving.
