It’s like somebody told BMW designers “I want a car with flair” and they wrote down “flare” and then made all of the nostrils HUGE

I’d say the BMWs are the worst, but I’ve felt like what Jeep has done to the grills on the current mid-cycle refresh for the Wrangler models has been a step backwards. They’re not outright bad, but I thought the initial design for the JL/JLU/JT models was a really good update.

The Fiat Multipla was definitely less ugly after its facelift, but it was also far more boring, which is arguably even worse.

There is no argument in my opinion. It went from weird and funky to “a car” it was the least inspired design change possible.

Good point, but given the subject line, that reasoning was dumb. It shouldn’t have even been on the list.

“From funky-looking to just a car - SO BAD!” Who writes this crap?

Edit: and that recommended article. “What car you publicly hate but secretly love?” Like, what? Who thinks this way? Maybe I’m just old and jaded. If I love a car and everyone hates it, I won’t be like “oh yeah, heh, totally sucks. Totally.” I’d be more like “Well, I like it and fuck you all!”

I’ve always thought the “Facelift” they gave the 2005 Dodge Dakota was terrible. The Durango looked bad too but not as strikingly bad as the Dakota. Pre-2005 it was a great looking truck and now it’s gone.
