Yeah, people say that, but I felt awful when Obama murdered that 16yo Denver-born citizen with the drones the DNC had been crying crocodile tears about for 8 years, because I campaigned, donated, and voted for him. I didn’t vote for Biden in 2020 on the premise he’d do something unconscionable like he’s currently doing, and I think it was the right choice. Had Trump won in 2020, we’d almost be at his term limit. Now we get 4 more years of him anyway, but now he’s even angrier and even more of a messiah figure to his followers.

If Trump was president right now Ukraine would be gone and you’d be partially responsible for making that happen by not getting Biden to 270 electoral college votes.

the only people responsible for a candidate winning are the people who voted for them…a vote for any other candidate is a vote against Trump

lol- well your taxes still fund everything the US does. Your foot is still on the accelerator but you think the right answer to the trolley problem is ‘let Jesus take the wheel’.

But yeah, sounds like you in particular probably shouldn’t vote and let more rational people decide what death and destruction your taxes go towards ;)

I would encourage you to consider voting for independent candidate. That way its more “I would vote for you if you weren’t a madman” rather than “I’m someone that doesn’t vote.”

Hope that makes sense, I’m tired

I used to vote. If you vote for a third party, in my experience, the DNC is just going to go 😭 “SPOILER! We would have gotten all of that candidate’s voters if only ballot access were even more restrictive than it already is!” 😭 And post-Perot they’ve already rigged it water tight at the presidential level, so it’s futile, even if everyone wanted the third party to win. As long neither party in the duopoly collapses, those are the options for president.

If for no other reason go vote for the ballot initiatives. You don’t have to vote for a single candidate but the ballot initiatives are essentially direct democracy with tangible outcomes to your community. If you cant support that then you’re wasting your time even thinking about politics and letting all that negativity in your head.

A spoiler vote isn’t any worse than a non-vote, but it does have the advantage of sending a message.
