If it wasint apparent already, I dislike nostr. Why? The crypto fags, plain and simple, get rid of the zap and add an actual anonymous tipping system and you’ll see them dissipate into thin air with no “mah cwipto!!!” To wank off to. We need to find a app or protocol like nostr but without the crypto. Please.

Im waiting for basedcount lemmy admin to block the same federations in the EH blocklist and then Ill move over. I like Kapow and more power to his decisions but he isnt my wife so Im not following him around.
Actually kinda glad he killed the federation now and gave a heads up instead of killing it a year down the road.
And not based on fucking twitter or discord style designs… both are complete garbage as far as social layouts go. especially twitter.

I checked out nostr for a bit. I guess I get it but… Like all twitter clones, it’s kind of a pain to follow discussions. OTHO, microblogging was never meant to be about discussion…
I think their reasoning is defederation has become de facto censorship and created fragmentation problems
even among the leftists there’s been some big defederations (lemmyworld against a piracy instance, beehaw against lemmyworld, hexbear being defederated by beehaw / lemmyworld I think, etc.)
