    This is getting massively misrepresented. It’s not ruling him responsible for anything, it’s allowing a trial to happen. The burden the Supreme Court set for the cop to actually win is basically impossible to show. This leaves open the option that in the future if an organizer points out a cop and says unleash the bricks on that one right there, then the cop can still sue.
