An aide to former Vice President Mike Pence described former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows as the āringleaderā with much of the events that took place on Jan. 6, 2021.
Marc Short, Penceās former chief of staff, said Meadows was ācentralā in efforts to overturn the 2020 election on Jan. 6. Though Meadows was not charged in the Justice Departmentās federal case, he was charged alongside former President Trump with racketeering and solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer in the Fulton County, Ga., election case.
Donāt get me wrong, I want them all to rot in prison, but Meadows better not end up being the fall guy here.
Itās kinda hard to see Meadows as the fall guy when the Trump call to Secretary of State (Ga) Ratzenberger exists, there shouldnāt be any questions when the jury hears that phone call because itās indisputable proof that Trump was leading the pressure campaign to overturn Georgiaās election results.
Itās proof he was involved. Itās not proof he was the leader.
His behavior recently seems to indicate that he really doesnāt want to go to jail. Iād bet heās singing like a canary to get a reduced sentence.
