Is there any easy way to switch to your home instance directly from a post to allow you to comment? I currently use “instance assistant for lemmy” but that only allows me to view the community from my own instance.
Sometimes I like browsing other instances and only their communities and the only way I can figure out how is to visit that instances link directly, however when I want to comment my current workflow is to copy paste the post url into my instances search and view it that way. Is there any addon that does what instance assistant does but also works for posts?
A few days late, but this is actually something I’ve been working on for Instance Assistant! I implemented a first attempt and released it this weekend. Let me know if it works for you :)
It should pop up in the sidebar of any post on a foreign instance. If it doesn’t load, you may need to refresh the page. That’s something I’m still working on because redirecting on a Lemmy site isn’t always detected as navigating to a new page.
