running arch just bought a amd gpu (been using apu only) like do i just put that thing in my motherboard and that’s it?
my last pc upgrade was a brand new cpu+m.2 ssd so i had to do a lot of stuff after installing them.

it’s AMD radeon 6600.
I already have amd drivers in linux since i use an amd apu, so i think i don’t have to worry? (unless grub decides to die as always)
for my windows install i think i do have to install some specific propietary drivers to get better performance i guess.
You’re definitely going to want to install the AMDGPU drivers. They’re open source drivers and are unironically better than the windows proprietary ones.
You should be good to go, I’ve used various AMD cards in Linux and have never had to go out of my way to install drivers.
