Clashes are ongoing in Patheingyi Township and spreading closer to the city of Mandalay since resistance forces captured several military outposts in the township, a resistance spokesperson said on Wednesday.

    Patheingyi Township is a mere 3-4 miles or 5-6kms from Mandalay Palace gates!!! This is huge!

      Basically yes it’s a full blow civil war. There’s war in the cities between local PDF resistance groups and military. There’s war in the borderland hills between old established ethnic guerilla armies who are growing more powerful each day and the junta. There’s war in the flatland agricultural country side between local PDF groups and the junta. It’s the junta against many many groups all over the country. And the junta are losing.
