      Me!! Nagulat ako natuloy yung concert. Nagulat din ako sa mga fans na nagpunta (based sa pics). Wasn’t expecting younger gen-Zs or alphas to be the demographic of that style of music.

      On a related note, ang ganda ng what constitutes as pop music today. It’s heavily influenced by 90s alternative rock and 2000s dreampop which were my jam growing up. Olivia Rodrigo, Maisie Peters, Lyn Lapid, mxmtoon, Girl in Red, beabadoobee, and so on. A far cry sa pop nung panahon ko that I still can’t get into… yung mga Britney Spears and all that crap.

        nakapunta ka ba sa concert niya? sayang sold out na nung nalaman ko parang 2 months ago pa lang wala na i think not just

        as for the demographic I think gen z would be a prime target cause she’s young relatable and represents an old form of music especially a far cry from the overstimulating rave and edm

          Nope. I don’t go to concerts. Well, isa pa lang sinadya ko (Explosions in the Sky) and the rest free sa mall (Cobra Starship, Twenty One Pilots, Walk The Moon). I prefer kasi to just stand/sit there and soak it all in, and that’s seen as a no-no in concerts wherein they expect you to drown out the performer by singing along and behaving like you have ADHD. Plus I hate crowds.

          Yeah makes sense kasi she’s young and entertaining, but musically jazz isn’t something kids would appreciate. I can’t even think of a modern interpretation of jazz na hindi niche. I remember 20 years ago, the closest comparison I could make to Laufey was Mika Nakashima and she wasn’t exactly a household name.

    I asked Lazada for a refund on July 17 (about 2 pm). I got the refund in my Seabank account on July 18 (9:27 am). Props to Lazada and Seabank.

    Any Linkin Park listeners? They just regrouped, and I am torn 50/50 on it;

    !It’s like yey more linkin park, but on the other hand, it’s… meh… with the new vocalist, since I resonated and listened to LP mainly because of Chester Bennington (RIP) when I discovered them long after Chester’s death during the pandemic… Though, I have a complaint, I wish that they toured in the Philippines and Manila at least… Haha…!<

    The Caloy-Angela Yulo tiff in a nutshell: A “minor” in a poor family gives his parent unfettered access to his bank account once he started making money. To no one’s surprise, maraming withdrawal. Nagkaroon ng falling out, made worse by the mom disliking yung girlfriend (who she sees as a gold digger) and someone he met only because she slid into his DMs when he was already a star.

    It’s a tale as old as time and literally the story of most high earners in a poverty-stricken family. Not sure why people are reacting to it like personally affected sila or alam nila saan napunta yung pera, and that they’re celebrating the mom being cut off the winnings.

    Personally, I’m more bothered by how we treat our Olympians. The road to the Olympics is hard, iilan lang nakakapunta dun. Manalo matalo they should be well-funded and compensated. Incentive na rin yan for more kids to get into other sports. But we only seem to care pag nanalo na sila ng gold medal. EJ Obiena, Hidilyn Diaz, Carlos Yulo, lahat sila kailangan dumiskarte sa training. Pati nga si Alex Eala (not an Olympian but related) pinabayaan, pero since mayaman siya she had the luxury to tell the government “fuck you” nung saka sila nagpapansin kung kailan nananalo na.

    Hindi pala reliable yung community notes sa Twitter. People could easily prop up and upvote an incorrect dispute.

      Great Question!! I’ve been struggling with this for a long time, especially with someone who constantly doubts their own brain and performance. It’s applying and living everyday, especially with the amount of school work I do, (prestigious city science high school) so I am barely alive the nights and few breaks during the weekdays, and when holidays and weekends come, I rest and slip back to unhealthy habits of AI use (chatbots, haha…) and watching slop videos at YT, so it’s been a struggle, so… it’s just been RAGHHH in my mind.

        I get you. Studying can be hard if you’re aiming for very high grades or the school is giving you a lot of homework or projects. My college life was tiring too. I had many nights with 0 or little 💤, in contrast to my work where I had 1 sleepless night only. (I observed that my face was oilier when I had 0 💤 compared to normal 💤.) Instant ☕ was my pal. In college I was so busy studying that I didn’t have time for organizations.

        Please up your confidence re your intelligence. Humans are learners. It’s OK to take time in digesting a hard topic and to err sometimes. Please think re the future. The path is uphill. You’ll improve. You’ll be smarter.

          Haha, guess you’re right. It’s typical for me to lack confidence in my studies, but I’ve always tried, no matter the result. Just, can’t help after seeing it.

    Deadpool and Wolverine just crossed the 1b mark in less than 3 weeks. Unfortunately, they’re not the first R film to do that but the pitiful Joker, lol.
