The spiky child in the pic in the back is hilarious, and says that yes, he absolutely fucked that sword.

Based on what I’ve heard, spiro might make a solid ingredient for a mojito.

Woo Gatorland! Best school field trip ever! (Okay but riding Space Mountain with the lights on was still neat…)
Okay I kinda want this as a sticker for my bike
AlligatorBlizzard@sh.itjust.worksto cats@lemmy.world•Hamster-sitting this week, and my orange is obsessed17·2 days agoWheels that size shouldn’t exist, and neither should those critter trail enclosures. I used to have pet mice and nothing about that setup would be appropriate for them, and I can’t think of an animal that would do well in there. They’re not even small enough to run comfortably in that wheel (they get similar back problems from running in wheels that small). But while hamsters are low on the “give a fuck” scale, mice are even lower.
There’s a local queer cafe/community center that has a (non-alcoholic) drink called programmer socks. The main component is an energy drink, because of course it is.
Got a high temp of 46°F here in Minnesota today, the thunderstorms brought in a cold snap. I don’t miss the Florida swamp ass at all.

AlligatorBlizzard@sh.itjust.worksto Eurovision Song Contest@lemmy.world•AUSTRIA WINS EUROVISION 2025!!!English2·5 days agoI spotted the audience much less in the final and I felt the camera was much closer in on the performers than the semis. My thought on the flag changes was that you can just avoid broadcasting an audience flag with some work with camera shots, but not if a performer pulls a flag, and they’re trying to avoid ruffling the feathers of more bigoted countries while banning as little as possible for the audience, and that might be what we saw happen.

I’m not sure they deserved 0, but I thought it was bad enough it was funny they got zero.
AlligatorBlizzard@sh.itjust.worksto Eurovision Song Contest@lemmy.world•What the hell just happened? 😝English241·6 days agoSwitzerland did not deserve that goose egg. Everyone in the bar I was at (US, MN) was shocked when that was announced, we also booed Israel and laughed at UK getting zero (even if that is the song that comes the closest to describing this year’s Eurovision - what the hell just happened? No clue but I hate it). We were hyped for Austria pulling out the win.
(Sweden won the bar votes, of course)

I think it works for her situation. (Funny enough, it was her reckless behavior that caused me to spend my last few weeks at that job on light duty…)
There’s also America Ferrera, I don’t think the name is that weird.
Minnesota had deep fried ranch at the state fair last year.
