  • They might have been asking about methane production, that’s a big topic for cattle because it’s a very potent greenhouse gas and having a lot of cattle produces a lot of methane - and it’s a byproduct of how their digestive systems work and all ruminants, sheep included, have that problem to some degree.

I wasn’t able to find a definitive answer, but per animal sheep aren’t as bad, but it’s due to their smaller size and if western countries kept eating the same amount of meat but ate more sheep (due to it being cheaper from the demand for sheep condoms, lol) instead of beef I’m not sure it would be better. (Replacing chicken with sheep would definitely be worse though.)

  • I knew someone who used to say this about the Republicans and abortion, that they used the issue for fundraising from evangelicals and they weren’t actually going to overturn Roe v Wade. I didn’t think she’s saying that anymore.

(Although immigration is very much a different topic, the oligarchs in charge mostly seem to realize that undocumented immigrants and H1B visa workers are much easier to exploit and abuse, so it’s in their best interest to not fuck with those programs too much. But DeSantis did and fucked up the citrus industry in Florida for a while…)

  • I didn’t have a 3ds when it was current because of getting a headache the one time I tried one, but I bought a new 3ds last year and I have no issues with having the 3d on for shorter gaming sessions. The eye tracking seems to be a huge improvement for me.

I’ve played Virtual Boy games on my 3ds and it’s pretty amazing. You’re right that due to the 3d being optional in most games means they couldn’t really use it in gameplay, but with the Virtual Boy games, those were designed for and must be played in 3d. It really made me wonder what could have been for the 3ds if all the things about the hardware that made the 3ds special were used in more creative ways.
