Thought for a minute you were going to say Sexy Sax Man https://youtu.be/GaoLU6zKaws?si=jdPgpAw12HX0YqzP
Google glass. Sounded like we’d all be wearing these glasses that we’d not be able to do without, but even looking back that sounds like such a poor idea. I try to not be on my phone as much as I can, I can’t imagine wearing glasses with an interface in my direct vision constantly, especially when a lot of it would be shit like emails, LinkedIn notifications of people I might know, and my siblings sending me 12 Instagram posts in a row.
Dear god that’s ludicrous lol. I love it!
Does anyone know the story with the character? Was he also supposed to rely on fear gas etc?
Last time I went to the cinema it was a small screen, and had a bunch of teens just taking the piss. It’s to be expected at this point, but it really compromises the experience of going to the cinema. They ended up getting shouted at and they eventually behaved, but for a movie with a fairly quiet first few scenes they wouldn’t stop with shitty one-liners, saying how they’d fuck the lead actress, and throwing their food at the screen.
This is what I pay to go to the cinema for? When I saw Spectre there were a group of teens taking photos with the flash on, and laughing constantly. Entitlement and selfishness are what ruin the cinema experience for most people. Then things like the hygiene of others etc - being in a hot cinema with someone who hasn’t bathed recently and is just stinking of a few days of BO is really off-putting lol.
One side is even ribbed, for your pleasure!
Oh okay I get what you mean now, definitely with you on the really badly over-used jokes. Nobody and This Is The End are great movies!
I think that it’s a few factors. Some movies that were longer started to be accepted, like the summer blockbusters creeping longer and longer and people not complaining much about the length. Then streaming picking up more and more, and with habits of binging it became apparent people were happy to sit for longer and longer times watching content (shows, documentaries, movies) and then with COVID and people looking for things to occupy their time longer content was welcomed more.
Though with your list of things you don’t like in films I’m not sure you really like films at all? Talking scenes are usually important for dialogue exposition, reflecting the characters mindsets etc, but why do you hate fight scenes and comedy scenes? What kind of movies do you like?
Sweet reference!!
I loved using Reddit Is Fun, and I couldn’t stand the amount of bots on Reddit in recent years
I love this!!
Do.you have the article without the subscription/ paywall?
I don’t think their exoskeletons allow for that, I think they just grow in size as opposed to getting disproportionate weight gain like a big belly
Giant space squid my ass, it’s probably just Milhouse
Except every time I turn it on it’s asking to be updated before I can watch TV. It’s a nuisance. Still a big upgrade on my old TV which was like a 32" and pretty old, but it’s still irritating.
Wow that’s insane, I thought only rodents had teeth that constantly grew like that?
I’d be the same tbh, in Ireland here, and I’m so fed up with constant updates for my TV 🙄 yeah it’s handy that the remote has buttons for Disney+ and Prime and Netflix, but honestly it’s not needed at all. Same as not wanting Bluetooth headphones or earphones, I don’t want to have to worry about not being able to use earphones because they need charged 🙄 hard enough keeping my phone charged often enough without carrying around a charger pack. There’s a lot of inconvenience with ‘convenient’ products.
Came here to say this! Beautifully crisp too. I hate most red apples for how soft they can be and how grainy they can feel sometimes. Maybe I’ve had ones at the wrong side of ripe, but pink ladies are the perfect hybrid of green and red. I used to love Macintoshes for this but pink ladies are much better
Yooo! Byyyyye!
