I will never stop wanting a remake of Eternal Darkness. All the other horror games got decent remakes/updates but where’s the love for Eternal Darkness?

This is fucking barbaric. The hospital let her sit for 40 hours with a fetus hanging out of her uterus. Just take a moment to imagine what that alone must have felt like aside from the emotional horror of losing a pregnancy. We wouldn’t even imagine treating pets or livestock this way but it’s clear that these repugnant forced-birthers don’t consider women to be people. One little pill to speed up the labor that her body already decided was needed was all that was required to keep this woman alive. What’s the point of even having healthcare when we can’t rely on it.
Is this one new fad I don’t know about because I have a neighbor who’s done this exact same thing?
This is straight up medical negligence. You seriously mean to tell me at no point did any of these doctors just order up simple lab work to confirm that there was nothing wrong while placating the mother? Every hospital I’ve ever worked in has an unwritten policy that if you come into the ER you’re getting basic blood work and a urinalysis if only to prevent malpractice suits. I truly believe that COVID irreparably broke the already disfunctional for-profit healthcare system here in the US and with every story like this I lose hope that it will ever be fixed.
I remember getting our first computer. It was a Tandy 1000 and I was completely fascinated by it. I loved playing games on it but we couldn’t afford them. My dad got some sort of PC magazine that always had the DOS code for one or two games in the back and I would spend hours writing that code onto the PC so we could play things like video poker or chess.
Yea getting up and about after surgery sucks but it’s the best way to prevent blood clots. Very glad to hear you made it to the hospital in time!
Omg when I bought my new Civic the first thing I asked the dealer was how to turn off braking assistance. He immediately doubled down and tried to make me feel like a “dumb woman” and then when I told him only an idiot would rely on that shit in heavy rain or snow he changed his tune. It still pisses me off that it turns itself back on every time you start the car.
“I’m wearing a shirt that makes a man want to buy me another shirt.”
I’m on my way. I just started up our own Plex server. I’m not ready to fully hoist the flag yet but I’ve got a big dvd collection to rip and that should keep me busy for quite some time
Wait until you hear one say something in full context out of nowhere; that’s really unnerving. I’ve had parrots for almost 20 years now and they still surprise me from time to time. It makes you stop and rethink just how smart the little feathered balls of chaos are.
Yea I’ve got Prime. I actually use the shipping and never really liked the video service. My husband however loves watching their stuff and we’re currently doing a rewatch of The Boys, which has been terribly painful with all the commercial interruptions. I’m not paying extra for add free. We were watching an episode last night and turned it off at the commercial break and watch YouTube of all things instead. Seriously though seeing a count of Ads 1 of 6 at the top of the screen was just too much.
People are catching on to the shift from companies catering to customers with good content to catering to advertisers. These companies don’t give two shits about making good content. And after reading the article who the fuck is saying that Prime is getting better? Every time I open the app to watch one of the few original shows worth watching I close it as soon as it hits the first commercial break, which is now up to six unskippable ads every 30 minutes.
This is my go to pattern for baby blankets. It’s a super simple pattern that’s really quick to doand it’s really easy to modify. I did one for a friend where I made it look like a sunset over the mountains just by adjusting the row heights for each color swatch. Chevron pattern
Gorgeous pics!
For what it’s worth I think your comment about the “grass having been cut” was very interesting and insightful. I’m not sure what the purpose of the training was but I’ll take a misinformed guess that they were trying to train people to all see and respond in the same way. And if so that’s bullshit. To truly grow, learn and work together it takes all kinds of perspective. The most interesting room is one full of people with different perspectives.
Oh there are plenty but recently he declared my husband to be a “Bert-hole.” He knows how to say and use the word “asshole” but in this case he replaced “ass” with his own name. They both love to irritate each other.
Mine occasionally does a swearword role call. To be fair he came to me with this vocabulary and I don’t have kids so I let him get it out of his system. What’s really funny is that he’ll mix and match words to make up something completely new. I have to make sure he doesn’t see or hear me laughing at it to ensure he isn’t getting the reaction he wants. First rule of parrots is that if it gets a reaction it’s game on.
I did a lot of weight lifting in HS because of this.
Considering this is in a doorway I’m going with Wepwawet.
Just adding this article here from the ACOG about how tenuous the definition of viability is and how few babies actually make it when delivered in the 20-25 week mark. We love to focus on those miracle babies who do make it this early but it is definitely not the norm.
