It is a paramilitary now, though. Like the SS.
This is by design, too. Disenfranchise the minority and then keep pretending society is meritocratic and then “if they really wanted to survive or escape they would have made more money.”
Some websites are literally only providing the very top of the article, and if you block the banner you will find that it abruptly ends. In cases like this, you can use archive.ph, though.
If anything autocorrect keeps getting worse. I’m pretty sure apple keeps deleting wrongthink words from the dictionary on their devices.
This raises some interesting questions about how the Federation Council would treat an interstellar race that hasn’t cracked warp. Thing is, by the time they are in contact with other warp-capable alien species like the Asgard, trading information and technology, they would probably then themselves be considered warp-capable, even if it was bootstrapped, so the window of time where they are traveling to other worlds and immune from the prime directive is extremely brief.
Dare not criticize the liberal lest ye be called a conservative.
Their half measures often make things worse in the long run. For example, because they fumbled the ball so hard with single payer healthcare, we just got marketplaces instead, so still private insurance, only now the federal government can reach in and dictate that they’re not obligated to cover this or that, which the Trump admin is doing now. Their idea of compromise is building a big button into everything they do that turns it into some heinous shit the next time a republican rolls around.
GPT-3 is ancient technology.
And a competent human dishwasher gets a better clean than a machine. That’s not going to stop their adoption. They will just keep some fraction of the workforce previously performing a given task to check answers.

I don’t remember there being CCTV everywhere in the wild west.
Nobody is stopping anyone from requesting the information from users via, say, a form they fill out, or enabling data tracking for a specific user-enabled purpose. The only thing people are advocating against is users’ info being collected without their knowledge, consent, or both. Nobody is losing any freedom.
Please do not put the idea in Trump’s head that he can mint new denominations. They will all have his face.
“Lol, they thought students would still be learning in group settings in rows of desks, like some kind of assembly line, rather than uploading at home”
Also it was because we didn’t do reconstruction, which was because the landowners were too strong.
And the landowners were too strong in the 1860s because of compromise in the 18th century, on account of their ancestors being too strong.
Actually, come to think of it, aren’t those the same people that elected Nixon, Reagan, and Bush?
Perhaps it’s not so much that history repeats itself as that we have had the same intractable problem for hundreds of years: aristocrats.
“The court finds you contemptible.”
“I promise I will come home to you. I love you so much, Dany,” Sewell told the chatbot. “I love you too,” the bot replied. “Please come home to me as soon as possible, my love.” “What if I told you I could come home right now?” he asked. “Please do, my sweet king,” the bot messaged back.
Not as the mother described, obviously.
It’d be a bit like if China and it’s entire sphere once a year went crazy commemorating the Kent State or Haymarket Massacre. They wouldn’t be wrong to say these are bad things, but it’d clearly be in service of some ulterior motive.
