This sounds like some great racing! I’m hoping that next they think of putting in a new lane all the way around the track, this can be the ‘passing’ lane. All the slow drivers should stay out of it.

Mates, I really find it hard to trust the FIA with no transparency.
This was a racing incident at most. The official writeup of Alonso’s actions with telemetry is very plain, lifting up off the gas was the primary reason for slowing. Ol George over there didn’t know what to do other than keep the pedal to the rock.
McLaren 1 2 calling it now

I’d expect some fireworks - my guess is neither Yuki nor Daniel is there next year (one up / one out)
This is Yuki showing he is still immature. He wasn’t going to get that pass done and only ended up making Daniel miss his window (being on softs / having Max lap them). Yuki pulls a large market and has matured some, shenanigans like this put a real negative view on an otherwise positive race.
Alpines fault for sending out Ocon close enough to get slipstream from Max and then Ocon for trying to capitalize on it.
They ran FP2 for 90 minutes without issue shortly after covering with cement, I’d say those won’t be an issue now
First of all, why with all the TV production there, could the telecast not get a single live shot of the section in question? It wasn’t until 25+ minutes after red flag they showed this picture.
Thanks for pic and live link… It’s exactly what you’d expect, 20 dudes standing around watching one dude look at the hole scratching his head… I feel bad for anyone that actually paid to go to see FP 1/2.
Well… Looks like Max was right, all show, no racing.

RB is expected to not be as dominant next season. Having another driver besides Max who drives in a similar style to Max sounds in theory like a pretty good strategy to remain a contender.
As it was and shall be 🤣
Not an ideal first win with it being a sprint and Max’s clinch of the season, all the same, great to see for piastri and team McLaren.
Imo, in years past, there’s generally THE driver and then the other team with an outside chance. This year, 1 is sealed but 2-5 is pretty much wide open. So give Max and RB their due and then watch the others vye
Monza overall was a snooze fest. Outside of Max being held up by Ferrari and by the way, it was never a question of if he would pass but when, the rest of the action was horrendous. I’d say this and a few other older and smaller tracks need to go, however with their legacies, that’s unlikely. The next best thing would be more DRS to have in theory battles back and forth throughout the race.
I get it Toto. 10 straight wins for Max and company, who cares… Its all about the team and the ability to respond to the conditions each week, to have your cars positioned the best they can be, without winning.
Yuki has been very consistent this season, that used to be the Hallmark of Checo. I think RB demands consistency out of their second driver and will want a known F1 commodity, so who else fits the bill?
I guarantee you rival teams will have already gone back over all the available info from that race to see if they can learn anything here and spoiler, they and Checo haven’t. Either what Max learned is unique to the car and suits a style he can drive or there really isn’t much here - I really question a driver saying these things if it would mean losing a competitive advantage.
Brake checking to erratic driving should be clearly identifiable as having an abrupt drop in speed. The trace here is meaningless as there is in fact more than one way to drive thru a corner and a trace will only will only highlight that.
What I would love to see is George’s telemetry response to Alonso, because George’s on boards appear to show him barreling ahead while Alonso’s harvest lights are flashing.
360 windmill example here of reckless driving, on behalf of the Mercedes.
