Understandable. It feels kind of wrong for me too. But technically right.

Not a point and click adventure. But I would still classify it as an adventure game. Wikipedia classifies it as an action adventure.

Tomb raider was never limited to a console family. Metroid is only on Nintendo devices. And even Metroid was never a phenomenon like tomb raider was in the 90s. Tomb raider also had a big revival with the modern trilogy on PC and consoles. And now the remastered classic games too.

The only Metroid I remember having any real hype was prime, and that was on the least popular console of that generation (of the big 3).

I bought one of the anbernic rg 351 devices 2 or 3 years ago (before I got a steam deck), and I still use it. It’s a nifty device with some cool community support for firmware and ports.

An iPhone doesn’t have buttons or a dpad for comfortable gaming. A steam deck doesn’t have the portability that these devices have. But it’s not for everyone, and could be landfill for most people.

Use dosbox-x or 86box they have windows 9x support

I agree. I used windows classic as long as it was supported. Sadly they stopped supporting it after windows 7.

This would be perfect if the taskbar was thinner. I might try this one out!

There have and will probably be letters used in the future to pronounce certain letters we use differently in words. To make things easier and legible. Caesar for example was written “GAIVS IVLIVS CAESAR”. The J and U were not used, yet they were pronounced.

So, while technically correct, it did exist in some form.

Yeah, I think this should count, and should be the vote. Legend of Zelda are adventure games. But not the classic point and click style though.

But Link is the most morally good of all the suggestions. Unless you’re looking for a character that’s also not a main character.
