To be fair, even in Linux it’s really hard to kill a zombie process. You have to tell the parent to own up to their kid, and then kill the parent.

4·2 months agoDiablo II being 20 position under the first Diablo shows that the list is mostly nostalgia driven. Diablo II was peak “let’s take everything they loved and make it more of that for the sequel”.
People say this all the time, but it’s not really the case.
Except that it is, people with the skills already bridged that gap for everyone.

Saying the fediverse is good for privacy is just plain false, that’s the kind of information anyone can acquire, even an ad company. All they have to do is federate a silent instance and see all you do.
No no the battery is replaceable. Some battery issues were fix on later gen (e.g. draining while in sleep if an HDMI module is connected). So replacing the main board effectively upgrades you to the latest specs.
The battery is pretty much the only reason I’m looking into upgrading to the latest board. To be honest the fact this is a possibility even on first gen is pretty dope.

I still have my first gen (first batch) framework laptop that I abuse daily. Had to replace the CPU fan on it but that’s about it and it was really easy.
I’ve always had Fedora or a derivative installed without issue other than the standard 1st gen stuff like battery life. Overall really great experience.
Now one thing I’ll say and it might apply for other brands as well, it’s really picky in term of docking station. If you intend to use one search the community forum first.
I’m personlly a zsh+oh-my-zsh person which has the same type of auto complete option.
My only regret is that something broke the thefuck plugin on my pc and now swearing at my screen doesn’t fix my mistakes.
That’s how you recognize a technical drafter. That and handwriting only in uppercase.
