Pokémon TCG Pocket@crazypeople.online•[Deck] My favourite troll deck
5·20 hours agoThis is exactly the type of thing that motivates me to play lol.
For a long time (relative to the TCGP timeline) the decks I found the most fun to play were Dark types that let me twist annoying “death by a thousand cuts” play styles and deck disruption to frustrate opponents just when they think they have you on the ropes. When Darkrai ex was released I spent A LOT of time working through combos and trying to figure out the best balance of offense through unconventional means that most other decks just didn’t have enough answers for.
It sounds like you’ve come up with something really cool and fun to play in a similar way with more modern cards. Maybe I’ll have to open some of these packs after all lol.
I’m smoking weed about it.

Thank fuck. Maybe her commentary style fits better in other categories but I didn’t enjoy her time on air. For me it always felt really out of touch and forced whether she was interviewing drivers or just trying to make “normal” racing commentary with the rest of the broadcast team.
Does this build have the vote traffic updates mentioned in this thread or will that come in a later/bigger release?
As always thank you all for the hard work that goes into building and maintaining this project. 💚
Oops. Thanks! 💚

12·5 days agoIt is wild as fuck that new PU manufacturers joined the grid this year and are turning laps reliably, but Honda with years of F1 PU data and experience can’t seem to keep theirs from destroying itself yet again. Yikes.
At least we can count on Fernando to deliver some spicy one liners.

Something has been preventing all the servers and users from showing up on join-lemmy.org for the last couple days. I sent Des a DM about it yesterday before I realized you were the one managing it. 😅

Fedigrow@lemmy.zip•Weekly thread - how is everyone doing with their communities?English
5·5 days agoI think it gives a much clearer picture of “who actually sees us” compared to “who liked it enough to subscribe” which is the more commonly used metric. Both data points can be meaningful but I find % of Threadiverse MAUs shows the pulse of the communities more accurately. Subscriber numbers don’t usually go down by much but that doesn’t mean those people are active, so it’s not great for understanding growth IMO.

Fedigrow@lemmy.zip•Weekly thread - how is everyone doing with their communities?English
7·4 days agoSince getting back to more regular posting our top communities have seen substantial growth in MAUs:

Something I’ve been interested in lately is what those numbers represent, so I’ve been calculating them as a percentage of active Threadiverse users. It’s cool to see the numbers go up, but it’s more interesting to me to try and understand what those numbers represent and how much room there is to grow within the active user base. Based on the most recent Threadiverse active user data there are around 47,405 MAUs on the Threadiverse, which means our most active communities represent around 5% of the total MAUs. Still lots of room to grow, but 5% also feels significant.
Note: There are multiple sources of data and they don’t all agree, so I used the one that most likely represents the biggest chunk of users in our communities- Lemmy, PieFed, and Mbin.
Community Threadiverse Stats
Community MAU Count % of Threadiverse (47,405) !loweffortmemes@crazypeople.online 2.48K 5.23% !weedtime@crazypeople.online 2.16K 4.56% !eternalplaylist@crazypeople.online 844 1.78%
The way the communities are developing is also interesting to me. The Eternal Playlist is the smallest of our “big 3” communities, yet it seems to be the most active community in terms of unique users posting. Then there are communities like weedtime that have much higher MAUs but very seldom see new posts unless I’m the one who makes them, but the voters and commenters are much more active. Time will tell if those trends continue or if others start posting more regularly as well.
Unfortunately the activity in our Pokemon community !pokemonTCGM@crazypeople.online hasn’t been as high as it once was and my time for it has been significantly reduced. I’m very thankful for all the effort that @Endmaker@ani.social has been putting in to keep at least a couple threads active with new and interesting card collections, lore, and game news. Without them it would probably be a ghost town which is a shame because the game is finally getting to a point where there are multiple viable decks and strats for playing PVE and PVP. If anyone is interested feel free to stop by and share how you’re finding the game!
In instance news, things continue to grow slowly and steadily. We’re averaging double digit active user numbers every day now, and our total membership has climbed to 125. Not huge by any means, but that was never the goal. We also recently launched a status page to keep our users informed during server maintenance and service outages which can be found here.

I’m not sure we know enough about his/their exit from Red Bull to know for sure how much information he had about an outgoing manufacturer. IIRC Red Bull were recruiting heavily from Mercedes and other teams PU divisions too, not just bringing in everyone from Honda.
I would assume Aston Martin trusted Honda to rebuild with people who had previous experience as much as possible and for whatever reason that didn’t happen to the extent they expected. The way he’s quoted in the article makes it sound like the people at AM didn’t do their due diligence until it was already too late, which is absolutely on them.
