I work in analytics. I usually enjoy the work. It’s fun showing people insightful things, but it can be a drag when folks don’t listen.

My wife is over 40 fwiw. She doesn’t particularly like being carded. She may have liked it in her late 20s or early 30s but not anymore.
Just pointing out that it’s subjective.
It’s very subjective. My wife kinda hates it. She’s a good looking woman, but she certainly doesn’t look like she’s 20. She often doesn’t carry a wallet - so if she’s ID’d it can actually be annoying.
Coffee beans are seeds from a fruit.
I have as well. I won’t pretend I’m always right - I’ve thought some ideas that worked out incredibly were horrible. Also had the situation you describe happen. It’s okay when you’re working with reasonable people. Show them the slide deck, the email, the analysis, whatever… “Look you didn’t approve this”. "Here is an alternative ". That can work.
Just telling folks “I told you so” isn’t usually a great form of communication.
Internally people probably talked about how there were huge issues. Others probably said those issues are over stated and it’s no big deal. They decided to release it and the press says there are issues. Then, the company decides there are issues. That simple.
I’ve had 3, 4a, 6pro, and 8pro.
8pro is the best device, but not as cheap as you are looking. Avoid the 6 and 6 pro. Overheat like crazy. 3 was amazing and the 4a was fine , but the 3 has a batter camera.
Good to know and thanks for the tip. This was back when I did more on a personal computer, but I remember spending hours just trying to get software to work. Again, this isn’t something I need to worry about today, but getting Octave (free version of Matlab) to work on Linux was a nightmare.
Don’t disagree, it’s just fascinating to see it all play out.
It’s interesting how ahead their government is with some things and behind it is with others (generally speaking they have a lot of crime in their larger cities).
This feels like me. But I read somewhere that even if I am on windows 11 ,my current laptop won’t have this feature. So I think I’m okay for now. Maybe my next one will be Linux.
I’ve used Linux before and I kind of hated it. It was fine for me when I had time to fuck around with every setting and go into rabbit holes. But I don’t know if it’ll work on a family device. I have 1 laptop in the house and myself, my wife, and kid all use it. Other than that, all devices are just tablets or phones.
We use the laptop for browsing, casting, document editing, and that’s about it I think. So since it’s that simple, I would hope Linux would “just work”. But we’ll see on my next device.
I would highly recommend having the atlas of middle earth with you when you read it. It’s how I did it recently and it was a pretty incredible experience.
The audiobook names are mispronounced at times, but I generally understand the sentiment here.
No idea what I’d buy, but I’ll go with an Amazon digital gift card if I win. Most probably I’ll use it towards tears of a Kingdom as I just finished breath of the wild about 1 week ago.
Great game. This has been the nuggets all year. Either blow a team out or just hang around and then strangle the opposition at the end.
Impressive game by jokic, can’t wait to see this team in the playoffs again.
Good luck! I think you’re asking too much TBH.
Right. I doubt we see the exact same behavior with cars, especially in today’s world where all cars are more expensive than they were just 4 or so years ago. That said, I do expect EV prices to come down. I can hate on auto makers for being slow to the game all I want, but the reality is they won’t do it if they don’t think they can turn a profit. It seems like it’s coming just a lot slower than some would like.
That’s awesome. So there are in fact low cost options then.
But isn’t this true with any “new” technology? The beginning of the timeline has high cost and as the product becomes “normal” costs come down?
It’s risk mitigation for the banks. You don’t have to put 20% down, but generally you’ll have to pay an additional insurance (PMI) if you don’t.
