Prosecutors allege that Mr Trump had six co-conspirators, including five attorneys. That group of lawyers is understood to include Jeffrey Clark, a former Trump administration Justice Department official who the ex-president tried to install as acting attorney general, “Kraken” lawyer Sidney Powell, and disgraced former law professor John Eastman, who is currently facing disbarment for his role in Mr Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

This is the second federal indictment brought by the special counsel actually.
