Oh damn. Thank you! I’ll have to do this at some point…eventually lol

A few coworkers were talking about some new LLM that can create realistic sounding podcasts. Aside from a few vocal blunders, it was getting difficult to tell if the voices were AI or not. It’s getting concerning at this point.
I know not to trust stuff. But there’s so many people who just trust things or get fooled (even if they do know better). After hearing that generated podcast, im sure I’ll be fooled soon enough. It’s already exhausting and the worst part hasn’t come yet lol
It’s a shame, too, because they have a rich history, cool folklore, and a beautiful country etc. It’s just all the BS that gets in the way. I would love to see more games take place in China and other unique places around the world.
From what I’ve seen if you even as much as sneeze in an ml thread you’ll be banned lol
Did genshin ever have these kinds of rules? I mean…why not just release a good game and not make any political fuss over it?
I was mildly interested, but the day it launched, I heard about this and figured I would rather not support devs like this.
I was thinking about this the other day when I heard Chick-fil-a wants to start their own streaming service. I feel like…it’s starting to feel like every big business is squeezing us like lemons. Not only do they artifically increase prices for their goods, but now they want us to pay for subscription services too.
It’s starting to feel extremely invasive. Surely, you would think there is a tipping point. But I also said that about the inflation of groceries and the general cost of living. But we haven’t seem to hit that point either, lol.
I hope this continues. It’s always better to offer the opposition a peaceful way out. Less casualties for both sides that way and the potential to end fights early saving time and energy better spent elsewhere.
Dude, what a bummer. Like, I’m glad we have lemmy but there’s certain subs and such that reddit had that aren’t available here.
On one hand it has completely cured my reddit addiction, which is awesome. I’ve put a lot of time into more productive endeavors. But on the other hand, I do miss finding niche subs that had amazing communities.
Aaron Swartz wouldn’t have wanted this
Right now, companies are chasing LLM’s and subscription services. I’m terrified of what’s going to come next, lol. At what point does late stage capitalism stop?
Oh shit that’s not good. I suppose it’s bound to happen, though. Money talks.
Could happen anywhere
This is bad. You always want to give your opponents a way out peacefully.
I understand that it’s probably much easier said than done, though. Especially if you have been stuck in a war, watching atrocities happen daily. I can’t assume any of us would be better than that.
This whole thing is a shitshow. Politicians should go to war, not civilians.
I’ve been tasked with some notion testing and research this week. I tried asking chat gpt some simple questions, and it kept feeding me this exact scenario over and over. I guess notion doesn’t like any kind of recursion. Or at least not without extensions being added.

This was an insightful read. Thanks for sharing!
Dammit this is what I was afraid of lol. I started playthrough #2 and didn’t get much further than the second area. It’s fine I suppose. It wouldn’t be the worst. At least I still have all the equipment etc from the first run

I’m hanging in there, but I’m ready to get off the roller coaster, please.
I’ve heard that some of the wealthy are fleeing so that they don’t get affected by the war directly. I assume some are waiting for it to blow over and will return when it’s done. Or some might just set up somewhere else.
Of course, it’s impossible to tell without the whole picture (which we rarely have). I’m purely basing this off of what I have read and the videos I’ve seen. So I could be entirely wrong.
I hope this isn’t a trend that will continue to other provinces. It prevents people from being able to make decisions that are right for them. There’s still a lot of vulnerable people who need this
I had a car behind me with LED headlights the other day. When I would look in my rear view mirror, it appeared fine, but if I focused on the road, the refresh rate on the LED’s created a strobing effect, which was extremely distracting.
Oh ohh or my other favorite is when people have massive trucks that illuminate your whole car because of their lights. It would be nice if there was a required standard
Edit: Honestly, if it wasn’t for urban sprawl, stupidly cold winters, and these massive vehicles with aggressive drivers, I would prefer to just bike.
