I’m shocked, shocked, I tell you!

It disappoints me that the level of regulatory capture prevents these companies from being held to account.

I’ve got one of those laptop chips and I feel exactly the same. I’m going to be watching my temps very closely. My trust is absolutely gone
But if China sees chip making as a state asset, I wonder if, knowing this, they may now be able to prevent it.
Hmm
They were exceptionally difficult to find to install the app. That alone will keep them from being successful. Add to that that the app is not particularly impressive… I’m not sure if their chances.
Touché
Biggest difference in my eyes is that with a layoff you at least get to choose who leaves but in this case you only lose the best and most qualified.
Nice work Dell.
Porque no los dos?
Yeah. It’s pretty rad. I’ve been playing with it all day.
If I set my watch and airplane mode it also immediately locks the phone, but it also does that when it goes out of range. It looks like the app should work with any Bluetooth device so any wearable should work just fine or even earphones if you really wanted.

I found this app that helps to mitigate this issue. It disables fingerprint if your phone gets too far away from a Bluetooth wearable or in several other conditions. It’s worth looking into for sure though it is only in preview for now.
I think it’s an excellent choice for anybody that’s got to wearable. You could probably do all this with past or two if you had the free time, which I do not.
Neat! I wonder what the learning curve is like on that.
Anyone else feeling like all these platforms are being intentionally dismantled in order to prevent us uniting?
It’s been 3 hours so I decided to go ahead and look for myself and I’m thinking perhaps they are talking about this: https://www.pcmag.com/news/nordvpn-actually-we-do-comply-with-law-enforcement-data-requests

Maybe I’m too much of a goof but I haven’t noticed any ads and I haven’t found any way to turn them off either. Is this only in the desktop version or is it also in the mobile version? Normally I just use the mobile version.
I don’t know.
It sounds like you’re assuming that everything you put out there isn’t already being stored.
Wait for the next update cycle. Lol. I’ve tracked these kinds of things down in the past. It’s tough. Look into procmon and taskmon if it bugs you again, and godspeed my friend.
Honestly it can be really tricky to keep that crap from popping up and if the guy that wrote the install did it all dirty and didn’t hide his windows, calling a boatload of processes, it can be truly difficult for the guy that writes the updater to keep everything hidden.
I’ve been there.
I was at that talk. I’ve never been inspired by an in person speaker like that. Makes one want to unionize.
