SatyrSack@lemmy.sdf.orgto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Did the green "brat" album cover come from the hexadecimal color code for B4DD1E (BADDIE)?20·2 days agoIt does seem to be a coincidence. Or, perhaps that was chosen as the starting point, and after several rounds of focus groups, they settled on what we ended I’ll with.
I downloaded a copy of the album art, loaded it in GIMP, and used the color picker, and it considered that
89cd00
. According to multiple sources online, it is officially8ace00
. Then, I compared those to a few possible 1337speak variations of the word “baddie”.

Screencheat is a ridiculous competitive split-screen first-person shooter where everyone is invisible, so players are forced to look at each other’s screens to win.

SatyrSack@lemmy.sdf.orgto TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@lemmy.world•Thoughts From The Buffer Episode 14·2 days agoI just got it working! Let me know where you ran into an issue, hopefully I can assist
- Download the font file
- Assuming it downloaded as a ZIP or something, extract it
- In Image Toolbox, go to main menu > settings gear > Text > Font > Import Font (TTF/OTF) > navigate to and choose the Edge of the Galaxy font file
- All the text in the entire app should now be displayed as Edge of the Galaxy. Assuming you do not want that, feel free to select System or something to switch it back. Edge of the Galaxy will still be a new font choice in the editor
ETA: Definitely look into GIMP regardless. Image Toolbox is the best mobile FOSS solution that I have found, but GIMP is much more capable, if you can manage it.

That, plus crap!" - Fat Bastard9·5 days agoSince my first time seeing those EV suits (which was in the 1080p remaster of TOS), I have wondered about the visor portion of the costume, which is obviously made of a very fine mesh instead of a solid sheet of plastic or something. Was that just for production reasons (making breathing easier for the actors, less glare for the cameras, better sound quality of the actors dialog, things like that), and the only reason I can even tell in the first place that it is actually mesh is just because I am watching it fifty years later in a quality that was unheard of at the time of filming? Or is it actually supposed to be a fancy futuristic mesh-like material that just has properties far beyond what we have now (like the mesh masks worn by surgeons in Babylon 5)?
