  • Haven’t seen Boom yet but maybe that’s because the season isn’t hitting for me.

I enjoyed the 60th and the Christmas specials, but the first 2 episodes of this season were just fine. They weren’t terrible like the Chibnal era but they also weren’t as good as RTD’s first era.

I’ve not had much to do this weekend so it’s not like I couldn’t watch the episode, in fact I felt like watching Doctor Who earlier and I instead watched some S1 even though Boom is still to be watched.

I really hope the season gets better as the show has so much potential for more great stories, they just need to be made by the right people

  • To be honest, as a huge Halo fan, I was surprised when seeing those studios closed that 343 wasn’t one of them. The studio is just cursed, even a leadership change isn’t going to save them.

Either make Halo games from all the studios under Microsoft or start a new one with people who are actual fans of the franchise

  • I’ve always thought that Barriss would become an inquisitor, so glad to see that finally happen.

Loved Tales of the Jedi so hoping this continues to be a thing, just a short mini series fleshing out some characters using the beautiful Clone Wars art style.

Hopefully we will have another animated series using the art style soon after Bad Batch ends, but one of these every year would also be great

I would say Outer Wilds is very good. You have the ability to beat the game as soon as you start, but you don’t have the knowledge to beat it.

Without spoiling it as it’s a very spoiler sensitive game, you can spend as long as you want gathering all of the knowledge to beat the game, you aren’t punished for taking your time. And all the knowledge you collect is stored in the games computer as long as you save so you can play for 22 minutes if you want, or multiple hours.

I beat the game over the course of a few weeks playing for various amounts of time. Recently played the DLC too and that went the same.

  • Yes? The episode will premiere on iPlayer at midnight for the UK. At which point it will be ~7pm in America. It will then air on BBC One hours later, presumably at the usual UK time slot.

So if I want to watch it as it goes live I’ll have to stay up till midnight and for the duration of the episode. Whereas in America, it’ll be a normal time for them.

And yes I can wait till later in the day to watch the episode but then I’ll be missing that feeling of watching it with everyone else and not to mention it’ll have to be the first thing I do for the day if I want to avoid spoilers

1.2k subs but how many of them are actually still using Lemmy?

There’s also the fact that I’ve seen others, and myself have experienced, not spending as much time on Lemmy as compared to Reddit so I don’t usually see new posts till a few hours later.

And even if the post is seen, 1.2k subs is not a lot. The subreddit has 1 million members, yet not every post that got traction even reached 10k upvotes, that’s 1% of all members.

1% of this community is about 12, so I’m not surprised to see low upvote counts.

This is just personal preference, but I personally only upvote art posts if the art is really high quality or posted by the original creator, but that’s just me.

Also karma doesn’t exist here anymore, you shouldn’t care about upvotes
