Overall this makes sense to me for basic CRUD and dashboard tools. So much of SaaS is also just a wrapper on people doing work behind the scenes, like analytics or writing.
But AI agents are also SaaS themselves, and at some point their prices will need to increase substantially to match their cost to deliver. So I would guess we’ll see far more services that are just AI wrappers for specific purposes, whose value props are reducing AI usage costs and improving results.






That might be the case if AI were actually as competent as humans and actually cheaper. AI may be faster, but they aren’t going to get any cheaper, and LLMs won’t get much more “competent” than they are now.
