  • There are parts of my job that I like and parts that I dislike. I like working with my hands and solving problems, I like not dealing with customers. I like being in a union and all the benefits of that and when I become a journeyman I’ll be making a little over 100k a year so the money will be good. I dislike the conditions sometimes, a week or so ago it was probably 30°F IN the building (New building, no heat, was 19°F outside), it also gets rather hot and humid in the summers here. The commute can be long depending on jobsite location. If the salary was 200K and if it wasn’t hard to get into I think I’d like to work in a national park or animal sanctuary.

  • I wanted to learn Blender to possibly try doing some 3D animations with anthro characters. I have almost no Blender or any 3D modeling experience so I started following along a beginners tutorial series by Ryan King Art on youtube. I got through most of it before deciding to start on my own little project. Once I finish modelling it and texturing it I plan to add a simple animation of some rain and wind to it hopefully

I don’t really believe in them with how diverse the furry community can be. My Fursona is a fox but he is not fully up to the stereotype. While hes not muscular and “manly” and I do have him with a slightly more feminine and soft body type, hes not really a femboy. He also isn’t a bottom by any means, hes mostly straight and is definitely on the dominant side.

  • Sometime about 13 or so years ago I was on Reddit and learned about the Yiff subreddit in an askreddit thread about weird subreddits. I did some more looking into what furries were after that. I realized I liked the art (and porn) a lot and a year or so later I made a sona for myself and started to rp with some other furries I had met on TTT. I fell out of RP quickly but loved having a fursona for myself.

Yea, the ability for individual users to block instances as a whole is really needed to stop this from becoming a thing that just happens frequently. Strength is definitely still in federation and people are going to get annoyed with having to have multiple accounts because their instances keep defederating from each other.

  • I haven’t encountered any of these “puriteens” yet anywhere thankfully, I don’t really spend any time on twitter though. My opinion boils down to pretty much what everyone else has said here so far. We don’t need a bunch of kids running around trying to tell us what to do and acting like morality police, don’t force religious beliefs onto us, etc. As for the risk of being “Called out”, just ignore it. Even if they get loud about it. Its just a group of teens on Twitter and in the grand scheme of things their opinion about you means fuck all. They will forget about you and move on to the next thing/person to be mad at in less than a week. As for the fandom as a whole being “called out”, I don’t think there is much to “call out”. Furries have not been well received on the internet for a long time and the go to thing to accuse us of is bestiality so they’ve already lost the main thing to “call us out” for. I’ve noticed a shift recently in a more positive direction of the internet’s opinions on furries and I don’t think a loud group of teens on Twitter is going to sway it back the other direction again.
