Only reason I tried because my friend wanted to try it and thought it might be fun to try together. But he played like… One match… And was already tired of it.

Nothing of value was lost.

Well… So long as it was all consensual…

One character had several seasons to explore concepts like loyalty to the wrong people, warcrimes, PTSD, regrets. Made the character deep and interesting.

The other character had a handful of episodes to explore prejudice, and stubborn preconceptions, which made the character interesting… But the conflict was essentially resolved after and she only was around for one season.

I sometimes forget Dr Pelauski is even a thing, and then I watch a season two episode and I’m like “oh right!”

I empathise with problems that are real. Not problems that exist because people want to find problems with something that isn’t. I hate people like that, because the kinds of people who would turn something like that into a problem are the kind who don’t know what problems are.

Well, at least we can agree on the distinction being arbitrary.

It’s not how people use the tool, it’s even more fundamental than that:

• The tool is advertised as many things that its not, one of the big ones being it’s not even artificial intelligence.
• The production and maintenance of the tool is actively ruining the world by being wasteful on essential resources like water and electricity.

Jesus christ, what an absolute waste of resources.

It’s not. It isn’t bad either, but it’s certainly the weaker out of the three TNG era Treks.

Vegans aren’t a problem. Why would you care about what another person chooses not to eat?

Holier-than-thou vegans with pamphlet level arguments they force upon everybody are a problem.

Thankfully there aren’t too many of those around. Less than Jehova’s Witnesses, at least.

It does seem like America in particular has a cult of people hating on vegans, and I gotta ask; why do you think you’re better than them, if you’re expressing the same attitude as the worst kinds of vegans?
