And I’m saying be open to the idea that it’s fearmongering. There are plenty of gay republicans. They aren’t gonna line up gay people. Stop.
Fair point! I def hear it about Tesla more because of the hype.
They chose not to, and instead made a death-trap on purpose
I don’t think it’s a death-trap “on purpose,” but it’s def a death-trap by negligence. Which is still bad. Very very bad.
I actually like Musk, and when the Tesla came out, I def wanted one. But man, stories like this make me sooo happy I was way to poor ever to afford one!
There won’t be any work camps. Gay people won’t be lined up on the streets and tattooed and shipped off. There will still be elections. And we’ll have a different president in 2028.
And see, I think you know all of this, but that you think it’s fun hyperbole to jump on.
You know what I think is really gonna change with a Trump presidency? Nothing. It’s going to be same shit, different day. Just like we get now.
Harris wasn’t going to change shit. Trump won’t change shit. Both parties like things just exactly how they are.
I proudly voted Socialist. And even more happy about it now. Because I stuck to my morals, even against all the hate I was getting here on Lemmy. And here we are.
And what’s really ironic is that people here on Lemmy HATED that I was voting third party. And you know what I’m seeing all over the place on Lemmy now? I’m seeing variations of “We need a third party!” and “Fuck this! I’m voting third party from now on!” and “Fuck this two-party system!”
I was correct then. I’m correct now. I haven’t change my mind at all. Looks like Lemmy is starting to though.
I wish that AOC and Bernie would team up, start a new third party, and kick some ass. I don’t think it’ll happen, but would be awesome if it would!
I’m biracial and bisexual. So no.
Well I agree that if someone loses friends just because of who they vote for, regardless of which party that is, then they probably weren’t that good of friends anyway.
I’ve never ever lost friend just because of who I voted for. Nor have I requested to stop being friends with someone based on who they vote for.
In the area I live in, people voted all kinds of ways. And we all get along just fine.
I think basing one’s friends based on their political party isn’t the best way to go about things. But meh, people do what they do.
I feel the same way he does when it comes to insults I have received for not voting for Harris. The grief and hate I got was way worse from Dems than Republicans (I didn’t vote Trump either), especially here on Lemmy.
From the article:
But his initial revelation did receive some backlash.
‘You are a dumba**,’ one X user wrote.
Conservatives, he said, were more tolerant.
Bach wrote: 'I’ve never experienced such overwhelming kindness, understanding, and encouragement as I have from supporters of President Trump in the past 24 hours.
‘And I’ve never faced such vicious personal attacks, name-calling, and insults—intended to wound, shame, and silence—as I have from Leftists in the same time frame.’
I love Lemmy and the concept of the Fediverse because it allows us to decentralize and avoid relying on the influence of a single instance. If one instance tries to silence dissenting voices, we can always move to another.
Multiple usernames, multiple instances—this ensures our voices aren’t silenced.

And you’re here reading my posts, is this all you have going on in your life? lol
No, I should have caught it, but I was distracted by my love for her. lolol All good, friend. :)
She definitely didn’t receive enough to change the election!
Democrats spent so much money to stop her and make her seem like the big bad evil one, and even if every single person who voted for Jill Stein would have voted for Harris, Harris *still" would have lost! lmao
This should be fun to watch. I notice that Democrats are already blaming everyone but themselves right now. lmao
Was/is she a Trump supporter? I mean, I can just look it up I guess, but I actually had no idea. I haven’t even heard her name in forever.
EDIT: I looked her up, and no, she’s not a Trump supporter. In fact, she called out her former co-star Kevin Sorbo for being a Trump supporter.
So were you making a joke about how everyone is just blaming everyone else then? If so, sorry it went over my head! lol
I love Lucy Lawless, personally. Well at least the Xena, Princess Warrior version of her anyway.
Actually people thought that, but here’s the thing. In our recent election, even if every single person that voted for these third parties, Harris still would have lost. That’s how big the margin was for Trump’s win.
So there is no splitting the vote on the left. They did so badly, that nothing would have made up for it.
If they use this loss as a learning experience, revamp the party, start doing what people actually want and need them to do, then people won’t feel the need to go to another party.
I’m dull and uneducated. So please explain to me like I’m a fifth grader.

Yep, and you have admit you’re wrong if they don’t show up. Go ahead and save this message on your end too.
