This is from an online comic called Stand Still, Stay Silent. Year 0 is the year, well, the year everything changed for the Nordic countries.
It’s a gorgeous story, for any who might be interested!
I’m looking for one that allows handwriting to text, if anyone knows of one.
10·7 months agoI think you’re talking about “at-will” employment, which allows the employer or employee to terminate employment for no reason at any time. Only Montana doesn’t have that (unfortunately for the rest of us), and employers must show good cause for termination after a set probationary period. “Right-to-work” means that you can’t be required to join a union or pay fair share fees as a requirement of employment. 26 states have this on the books.
I live in a state with both laws, and it sucks as much as you’d imagine… (mainly because it’s fairly indicative of other issues throughout the state).

It’s a bit of a confusing history. The AT Protocol for decentralization was a side project of Twitter that later spun off, grew, and became Bluesky.
They’re starting a whole herd with more babies!
We switched to Duo, too. Making that plan unlimited was the las barrier to my spouse jumping aboard the Kagi train. We’re in for the yearly Duo sub as of this evening!
When we lived in Duluth, we couldn’t find a place that didn’t require us to entirely declaw our cat, so we found a rental out of town. I’m so glad to see that requirement become illegal. It’s cruel and unnecessary mutilation.
This is all I’m waiting for to make the switch…
