You’re totally right but I really think there’s an issue with immigration nonetheless that’s been going on for several years.
The root cause though is corporate greed and the government that’s in their pocket.

Are the majority of recent immigrants Indians?
There sure has been a huge influx of Indians in Montréal since 2018. But, I know there was a huge fiasco about colleges that were created solely for Indian foreign students for profit. So I figured that was linked. But if it’s Canada-wide, then it’s something else.
It’s a crime to not have universal basic income at this point. People aren’t only unable to afford basic living expenses, but they’re losing jobs to automation and AI already. What are these people supposed to do? Go beg on the streets?
hahahahahaha!
That comment is going to be wildly unpopular.
For starters, ONE billionaire is too many. A billion is a ridiculous amount of money. Saying France has “only” 40 is so incredibly disconnected.
Nobody should be able to amass this level of wealth. And those who do, do it through sheer human exploitation and lack of ethics.
The fact that they get to have such incredible wealth while the rest of us are struggling to make ends meet, and governments need to cut social services due to lack of funding is criminal.
All the money is pooling into these peoples’ hands and you’re not asking yourself why? You don’t think that taxing that amount of wealth even a little might help anything?
I’d really like to hear why.
Hahahahaha! Yeah they like to take passages out of context and give it whatever meaning they want.
When you read it and see the whole work, you realize how bullshit religion really is.
Right? Why is it always “make life harder for the working class” and never “make billionaires pay their fucking share”???
hehehehehehehehehehe
C’est quand-même fou le nombre de gros stationnements pour les autos.
Eh? Which book are you talking about?
Right after Canada and the EU backed down on the foreign digital taxes.
I’d still read the novel. Atlas Shrugged would be my choice. It would be like reading the Mein Kampf. But all for education purposes, and to see how absurd it all really is.
By the way, the First Testament was a fucked up read. So violent. So gory. I still haven’t gotten around to read the New Testament, but it’s in my to-do list.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the artwork on these posters? These artists deserve recognition.
At 16 I certainly would have voted like my parents because they had made me think the same way they did and any other way was wrong.
In hindsight, every choice they made was the wrong choice that brought in further conservative politics, austerity and the destruction of our social safety net.
I mean, had more people voted with their convictions rather than trying to beat the conservatives, we would still have ended up with a very weak minority conservative government with a stronger NDP, which wouldn’t have been that bad.
The Liberals and the NDP would’ve had to form a coalition and the NDP would’ve had a much stronger influence. They could have worked together to pass bills that improve our society and empower the middle-class, whether the Conservatives like it or not.
OR, if the Liberals had aligned with the Conservatives, then you would have seen an uproar, especially because of the current geopolitical context.
But we definitely need to give the NDP and the Greens more space. I hope people will remember that in the next elections.
I certainly am very disappointed in Carney’s government, but I’m not surprised at all. I knew this would happen and I don’t know what people expected out of an actual establishment world banker.
I said just that during the elections and was downvoted.
The money is there. The Weston family and other billionaires are all holding it.
Toronto Sun. Yeah, no. I ain’t reading this conservative conspirationist garbage.
Heat pumps are a much more energy efficient alternative.
I used to be like that. I just get so tied from work, seeing computers and software all day and having to constantly learn new technology that at home I’m just looking for something that doesn’t change too much and is familiar.
I worked at a crown corporation which I cannot name for the past year as a consultant.
About 90% of the IT employees were South Asians. Mostly Indians. Few of which were actually in India.
And this is for a company that’s critical for the Canadian economy.
