I used to play this a lot. Somehow I had the creativity to make movies in the game back then. Even without knowing how to read English, and scrolling few dozens of scene template et cetera.
Nowadays I would consider that as a chore even if now I can speak English

I used to live in a region where the city layout is almost square. A lot of the big roads are almost facing towards N/W/S/E direction, reading them in maps were easier. I had to navigate on my own relying map app because there’s only expensive taxis to go around.
Now I live 512 km away, the city layout is more abstract. it’s also more crowded, but at least the public transportation are more accessible in lesser places. making travel around the whole region much cheaper. In this case I rely a lot on public transport map instead of normal map app like comaps. and somtimes reading public transport maps isn’t very straightforward.

in my case the game is only enjoyable for 3-8 matches, felt better in winning streaks obviously. But I’ve had terrible moments that keeps me up for 70-90 matches in 3 days, or about 3-6 hours a day.
But recently character skins from every events are locked behind paywalls anyway, they don’t do skin rewards more often, mostly just charms, spray, voice lines, etc.
this happens too much in overwatch because some event rewards motivates people enough to keep grinding other game modes outside casual & competitive mode.
Their april fools game mode is usually hillarious enough but when people had to replay that for 70 matches it becomes an overused jokes.

slightly unrelated but there’s a community dedicated for gpt2 bots doing its own shitfuckeries with other gpt2 bots. It’s sometimes hillarious
edit: I guess it’s not here anymore, couldn’t find it.

agree on Manjaro. It’s also easy to break in my 6 months experience in 2021. I’m now on Fedora since. Though I think EndeavourOS is a nicer choice for simplified Arch. Or maybe Archlinux itself has gotten easier with archinstall. But I myself have not tinker with distrohopping since I’m on Fedora.

TheGamer came out of nowhere too. Back when I used faceboook almost a decade ago, I used to follow a gaming meme page. They post typical gaming shitposts of that era. They had massive followers, and big engagements.
Then one day every shitpost they post is branded with TheGamer logo, the page renamed to TheGamer. I don’t remember the original page name but it gave me disingenious vibe from both of them, I suspected the page has been sold & ownership transferred to TheGamer.
Back then I do have silly loyalty to stuff that I like, so I feel betrayed when they sold themselves to a sloppy article site.
Every once in a while they’d post buzzfeed-type of articles from their website. I eventually unfollowed the page.
