This example might shed some light on how malicious QR codes can work.
There’s a lot of car parks in my area which have had QR codes stickered to the payment meters, instructing people to use the QR code to pay for their parking. These are council or private car parks, but the code takes you to a site that accurately mimics a usual carpark payment site. So people think they’ve paid for parking, but have actually sent money to a scammer, and they also end up with a fine for non-payment from the entity that actually owns the carpark.

Just the one goose actually

I’ve been seeing that too and it’s definitely bugging me, not just subnautica too. Many articles relating to early access releases are talking about them like 1.0 is dropping immediately.

If I’m not actively using my PC for anything it is shut down and turned off from the wall socket. 3 monitors and a pc on the same extension, even when they’re not switched on still draw power. I’m in the UK though and electricity isn’t cheap.
It takes all of maybe 5-10 seconds from power on to desktop, I’ve barely gotten comfortable in my chair before it’s ready for my login, I can’t see any reason whatsoever to leave my PC powered on, ever.

I’ve seen a lot of these questions recently and no one ever seems to mention Teamspeak, the predecessor to Discord. High quality audio among a bunch of other features, TS6 is where I’m going, since all I need is basic VC rooms and text channels. Discords other “features” should never have picked up like they did in the first place, fuck the companies that use it as a support forum.

I recall there being a phenomenon where drivers brains actually filter out hi-vis jackets as “unimportant data” because we see them so much.

DMC 1, GTFO and Valhiem, got a nice mix going for now

A lot of stores in the UK men don’t even have a floor, we have a corner
It all well and good comparing data centre energy usage with global production. But you miss out the important reality that a good chunk of the data centres running today and in the near future are using fossil fuel power on-site, without a grid connection, which is so much worse.
