Yep plenty of people use it for sleep, myself included. And I don’t have a lot of knowledge on the physical effects of weed (so still do your own research, don’t take a random internet persons words as fact) but as the sleep quality thing goes, I think you are right in that. But I also think it depends on the person. Like for instance you may get worse sleep quality sure, but might find it hard to sleep at all. If the weed does get you to sleep but with not as good quality, then that’s better than no/only a little sleep right? Also with tolerance most people don’t get the increase in heart rate as much. ROA is a factor too, like you’d be better off taking than edible than having a smoke to get to sleep and stay asleep.

Different terpenes have different effects though. People can use weed to stop themselves having seizures.
Used to love this song and listen to this band so much in my late teens/early 20s. I do remember with these lyrics wondering at that time if that’s how it would go. Funny to get to my 30s now and be like, “yep, hard relate”

One of the things we should be doing to counter the climate crisis housing-wise is us living in high density ways. To make that much less of a hell for people with sensory issues then these proper noise insulated places are a must.
Edit: It’s also important on a disability rights level. For instance people with severe MCAS (an actually very common but very underdiagnosed condition) can have essentially an allergy to vibrations. So things like power tools being used just in the area around them can literally give them reactions like seizures
knowone@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Noise pollution harms health of millions across Europe, report findsEnglish2·14 days agoEven without cars, for someone like myself they are still loud. It’s a subjective thing. There could be no cars used around my home at all but there could still be a family with loud kids, or someone who regularly blasts music or people using power tools often and so on. That isn’t to say these things are inherently bad or anything, just that for me I’ve dealt with too much aggravating noise in various places. Now I live in a van and just come into cities when I please.

For someone who grew up in a village where it was quiet almost the entire time I feel it’s especially a lot. Never mind the neurodivergence not enjoying it.

With how stress life is and how much people are struggling with money, at least most are, people will understandably take the free and convenient options that the vast majority of others also use and sacrifice this thing that it’s hard to have a concept of and also it seemingly not affecting their lives. That’s if they’re even really aware it’s happening in the first place.
(Not assuming your opinion by the way, just giving my thoughts)

Just wanna say sorry that wasn’t in there properly. I didn’t crop it myself, didn’t even notice the artists name half cropped there until you pointed it out
Big love and solidarity to anyone going through hard times mentally/emotionally right now. We got this.
I literally shout in my sleep regularly. And laugh a lot too. My partners and friends have had some interesting times from this.
Great looking spot!
