  • exercise is something you have to already have a passion for to keep it up.

    The trick is to think the other way around: something that could be a passion and involves exercise. It can be about the looks, the wins, the pain, the endorphins, for others it’s about adrenalin, being in the flow, or natural sceneries, playing a game…


  • France:

    Butch is now seen as more polite in younger / woke(*) circles. Camionneuse (truck drivers) is old and derogatory even though still in use.

    Femmes are fem, a younger word. NO old word AFAIK. I guess previous generations didn’t care as much / were aroused.

    Lesbiennes. Older / derogative term was “broutte minou” ~ kitty grazer (and sounds about as cringy in both languages, definitely the older generations were aroused).

    (*) I mean that in its original / positive use.

    Edit : for men mostly English words are used (gay, top/bottom, bear/cub…)
