  • So I guess you used the Gregorian calendar in your last comments, I see. Call me old school but I prefer the Julian calendar.

    But I see your point now. The 19th is over and will never come back. A new 19th will come and claim their place but it won’t be the same ever again. Your package will never arrive but you will keep up hoping until the end. Hope for the sake of hoping. I honestly admire that attitude. It’s almost absurdist.






  • It’s /gəˈhɔʊrɪ/ in the title. I personally read it as /'gɔʊti/ but it’s part of the joke that there is no right pronunciation. [t]>[r] between vowels is common in American English. It’s not the “English R” but kind of the Spanish or Italian one.

    I didn’t read the context so this might be old news, but you can even read it as nothing since all the letters can be silent (as much as they can be fish)
