Pure arch is fine, don’t let internet idiots scare you. Just archinstall it, you don’t have to do a manual install. I reckon have a crack at a manual install for learning purposes if your curious.
I had a look at cachy in a VM it seems very similar to me. I used that Shelly gui thing I kind of like it but every now and then I like to manually install the vulnerabilities directly from AUR and npm.

That’s still really interesting sorry to call you out. I’ve heard of Solaris and Sun/oracle but I had to look up the other 2. When where you an working with those operating systems, the 90’s or later? Which did you enjoy using the most?
Like Unix Unix or unix like?
One of my favourites. I often wonder what the world would be like if we got rid of everyone over 30. I saw this movie when when I was young and now I am over 30 and I’ve got to admit I still think it’s the best idea and we should go ahead with it.
I think maybe it’s the sysadmin skills it has makes it always want to do things itself. I use it as a tool to learn things myself so I’m always telling it to give me the cli I’ll put it in. Seems to remember for a bit then forgets.

Micro for basic stuff I find it better than nano or VScode for code stuff. I’d like to try neovim at some point.

Yeah of course, nicotine+ is a good client. The webapp I see most people use is slskd but there are others too. Where do you get your music from? Surely you don’t pay evil companies for it and not support the artist directly when you can?
Do you have to login all the time? I run mint on my TV on a mini pc and it’s fine but having to login is a pita. I tried to make it login less but it didn’t like it and I think it broke some things.
