Civ 6 was the one that finally got me, and I actually found that easier to get into than 1 and 2, which I had tried before. I did go back from 6 to play earlier titles and also liked 2, 4, and 5, but I keep coming back to 6. Unfortunately, I could not get into 7. I really tried, but I just wasn’t having fun somehow.

Edit: If you like the older titles better, maybe try FreeCiv, which is similar to 2, or UnCiv, which is similar to 5.

Ha, this is basically me. Still wouldn’t recommend rolling release to newbies, but my Linux knowledge is basic at best, and I’ve still used Arch for 8 years without many issues.

I don’t even think many people will disagree with that. The appealing thing about Star Trek was always the utopia, the idealism, the philosophical questions, and (in some cases) the sciency details. Most attempts to make Star Trek into some kind of uber-galactic-struggle-between-alien-races or quest-to-avoid-the-destruction-of-the-universe that were the focus of many later sci-fi shows ended up making it worse.

As fully fledged sci-fi universes that were explicitly written with these “big” stories in mind, Mass Effect or The Expanse are clearly ahead.

Ich habe den Text durchaus gelesen und fand ihn nicht besonders schwer zu verstehen, genau wie dein Kommentar dazu. Der wesentliche Dissens besteht darin, dass ich dieser vorwiegend strategischen Betrachtung schon im Ansatz nicht zustimme. Falls das für dich am Thema vorbei ist, dann sei dir diese Meinung gestattet. Für mich ist es das keineswegs.

Sorry, aber nochmal klar nein. Das Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz hat einen klaren Auftrag und dazu gehört die Bewertung politischer Vereinigungen hinsichtlich Extremismus und Verfassungstreue und, falls hinreichende Evidenz vorliegt, deren Einstufung als extremistisch, was als Grundlage für mögliche Verbotsverfahren dienen kann. Gerichtsverfahren gehören zu diesem Prozess dazu und erfüllen einen wichtigen Zweck. Sie stellen aber immer nur eine Momentaufnahme dar. Wenn ein Gericht entscheidet, dass das BfV seine aktuelle Einstufung nicht hinreichend belegt hat, heißt das erstmal genau das. Es heißt hingegen nicht, dass die AfD nicht rechtsextrem sei oder sich dieser Status auch in Zukunft nicht begründen ließe. Das Gericht erfüllt hier einfach seinen Zweck, genau wie das BfV. Daraus abzuleiten, dass ein Verbotsverfahren prinzipiell nicht sinnvoll sei, ist fahrlässig und in jedem Fall sachlich falsch.

Das schlägt Spahn aber nicht vor. Spahn fordert ja gerade nicht, dass die CDU unabhängig davon, wer den Ministerpräsidenten stellt, als gleichwertiger Partner bei der Verhandlung des Koalitionsvertrags behandelt werden muss. Das wäre vernünftig und das sagt auch Özdemir. Stattdessen zeigt Spahn sofort, dass es ihm mehr um Postengeschachere als alles andere geht und er nicht in der Lage ist, der Regierungsbildung mit der nötigen Ernsthaftigkeit zu begegnen, die dieser Prozess eigentlich verdient hätte.
