OTOH, his reading speed and comprehension were unmatched by anyone I’ve ever known, and I’m no slouch myself. In a single Saturday afternoon he plowed 3 light sci-fi books to my 1. Didn’t believe it, questioned him. Yep, he could talk about any plot points I brought up.

I did this in the middle of a 5 hour drive to get on a boat to the Bahamas. Didn’t realize I needed my birth certificate (don’t have a passport). That was as close as that gf had ever been to chewing me out.
