Highly recommend the Motorola Moto G7 Power (Ocean). Get it OEM unlocked. Runs LineageOS and /e/OS.
Battery life lasts for days with minimal usage, and costs just about or is $100.

What’s the album?
Took a nap after work. I asked myself, what do I need more right now? And making that choice for myself made me feel happy.

Hey, this is me! Currently using a OnePlus 5 with LineageOS and a Sunbeam phone. If I need to connect to the Internet or use any phone app, I just use my hotspot.

I know you are joking, but sadly, there are houseless people who are very MAGA. Was on the bus the other day in Austin, TX and a houseless guy walked on the bus with a shirt that said “Democrats are COMMUNISTS” and another houseless guy shot up to him and unironically gloated, “Yes, you are right! The Democrats are getting their asses kicked. And Michelle Obama is a man!”. I wish I was lying.

On my list of “dont’s”, inspired by Luke Smith, I do not use AI.

Fairphone is expensive. You can get a used Motorola G7 Power and flash /e/ on it, if you like. Just need to find one is OEM unlocked, or know how to unlock it yourself.

I don’t use any “big brother” services. At work, it’s a different story, I guess.
I wish that the internet was removed from every day reality. Or at least I wish it wasn’t so invasive and obligatory.

Honestly, this makes me happy to hear. I wish I could meet people and make friends like I used to before everything got enshittified.
Jealous. I will be stuck here for the foreseeable future.

At this point, I don’t know why Republicans don’t outright just say they want people who they see as less than them suffering and/or dead. That’s their only consistent political view.

I use /e/OS instead of Lineage now. It comes with MicroG and everything just works. I have a personal profile and a work profile. I keep them separate. No issues at all.
LinkedIn was doing this to me, too. But then I randomly was able to log on again. I wasn’t able to for months and thought it was ridiculous that they were asking for my ID.
You can try logging in on an IP address you previously logged in on. Then, delete your account ofc.
Pool drains. Hate them. Whenever I go swimming, I always avoid them.

I’m listening to an audio book called The Like Switch. I recommend it. It’s about building and maintaining relationships.
Absolutely. I was teaching English with Mormons in Kiev, UA in 2014 (as a volunteer, I am not Mormon). The nonprofit we were with stressed to us that we should absolutely, under no circumstance, go to Maidan (city center). This was when the revolution was just starting. Of course I went anyway.
At least when I was in Ukraine at that time, all the discord was contained within Maidan and the eastern regions. Life elsewhere went on as usual. I’m not sure if it is the same now. But it felt like going between two worlds.
Mechanical Engineering. Germany. Because it would be my dream to work as a roller coaster engineer, haha.
It depends on how you want to approach college. Career is one aspect of college. You should focus on your interests and strengths.
It’s tough. If you’re in a medical emergency type of situation, or are sick and need help, there are a lot of services that can help. You can go to urgent care or ask your doctor. If you don’t have insurance and live in the US, I’d probably encourage you to dial 211 for resources.
Making friends is not easy. But I think you should keep trying and just remember not to give up. I think the first step is just putting yourself around people, and not expecting anything as an outcome. What do you like to do for fun?
We thrive in groups of around 150 people? That seems like a lot to me
