But the genre has been proven to be less resilient in the post-pandemic era. “Joker: Folie à Deux” joins the ignominious trio of 2023’s “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” and “The Marvels” — all three are follow-ups to billion-dollar tentpoles that completely collapsed at the box office and became big money-losers. The sequel to 2018’s “Aquaman” tapped out with $439 million globally while the sequel to 2019’s “Captain Marvel” ended its run with just $206 million globally. Those misfires proved audiences will no longer show up simply because there’s a DC or Marvel logo in the title credits.

Because these kinds of movies have become blatent cash grabs. The market is oversaturated with the same formulistic plots reskinned with a different superhero. It’s insulting to consumers to assume high profile actors, flashy cgi, and a comic book character is enough to overlook poor storytelling.

Unfortunately, there is a downside to allowing Trump to win. It’s the trolly problem and yes I will help pull the lever that kills people to keep even more people from dying.

I wish my father would have. He almost immediately wrote them off as unnecessary and blamed insurance for not wanting to pay for surgery even though multiple doctors recommended physical therapy instead. He’s now two or three years into the pian.

How to you find the energy to maintain a conversation like that? I know how to hold a “proper” conversation, it’s just so much work and the longer the conversation the stronger the brain fog becomes. I feel the life getting sucked out of my body.

Just saw Oklahoma has one of the lowest voter turn outs in the nation. With Tulsa and Oklahoma city it’s more progressive than most people realize. We’ve just got to get out and vote and convince those around us to do the same. I know we have the numbers to win local elections.

Sure but if people have been able to consistently pay rent higher than their mortgage I think they’ll be fine.

I don’t understand it either. Do Dems really think this is what their base wants? I don’t personally know any Democrat who thinks this law is a good idea. Immigration is more of a hot topic for Republicans. Why do we keep trying to get republican votes when there are still plenty of Dem votes to win?

My experience as well!! Maybe it’s not 100% accurate but it works well enough I can use it frustration free. Definitely hasn’t gotten worse. My only complaint is since the ios 17 update it randomly switches back to the default keyboard until you close and open the text box again but that’s not a predictive text problem.
