Ah but the car option lends itself to strong individualism and personal choices, like “which dealer network do I want to get ripped off by?”, or “which publically-subsidized gas company do I want to fund further?”.

Very suspicious. The shop doesn’t work either.
Update: now it’s an nginx 404 page. https://podcast.middleeastmonitor.com/ is still working. Hmm
Battle for Wesnoth, if you’re into that kind of thing.

softcat@lemmy.cato China, 中国@lemmy.ml•China's inbound tourism trips for May Day holiday surge to 173%English22·1 day agoNah, I’m pointing out what happened to two Canadians as retaliation for a wealthy Huawei CEO, who makes hundreds of times more per annum than the average Chinese citizen, getting extradited. That is, specifically, being falsely arrested on drug trafficking charges.
You can do better than calling me names! That’s just lazy. You don’t want to wake up every morning and see someone in the mirror that’s both wrong and lazy, do you?

I was always skeptical of the claim that dishwashers were more economical and energy intensive than washing by hand, but actually being shown how the machine works and how to get it working properly has had me using it regularly ever since.
A great video to watch as you get some plates dirty!

Greece has claims over Cyprus and the Caribbean colonies are, well, colonies. People already don’t like when other provinces have a say in how theirs is run- now imagine it’s a bloc of countries across an ocean that decide something can’t happen.
I’m more interested in how many Canadians are open to the realistic option- expanding the trade agreement currently in place. Largely it’s been balanced but actually joining threatens struggling industry and domestic manufacturing. We’ve already seen heavy manufacturing largely move to Mexico and Asia.
Then there’s the fisheries, which already has problems with quota disputes and First Nations facing violence for acting upon treaty rights to resources. Adding fishing fleets of multiple other countries would actually doom small Atlantic Canadian fishing communities.
Moving away from the US while expanding connections with others instead is a good idea, but more so in the ways further down in the article than EU membership.
