How does one set up such a filter?
How does one set up such a filter?
What’s the second reason?
Didn’t you hear about that about that wind turbine that exploded and spread wind all over a dozen farmer’s fields? /s
Got a message saying I was banned from a sub I wasn’t even subscribed to and hadn’t posted to. I replied to the message telling them to get stuffed. They reported me and got me banned from Reddit for 3 days.
So instead, I banned Reddit and haven’t looked back. F-'em.
“Somebody’s got to pay for the grid,” Wara said. “Especially in the past, that somebody else is a low-income, poor-credit-score person who doesn’t own a south-facing rooftop maybe because they live in multifamily rental housing.”
Remember back in the '20s when PG&E pretended to care about low-income people as an excuse to raise rates on everyone?
I mix my wasabi and soy sauce every time. I also dip my sushi in this mixture rice-side down. I’ve never had anyone complain about this. If any sushi chef ever does complain I will just leave and never give business to that gas station again.
From the article, it sounds like the HPV vaccine would help prevent these penile cancers.
Refresh my memory… weren’t Republicans up in arms trying to prevent their children from getting the HPV vaccine?
I’ll try that.
Been using a Matias Ergo Pro for several years now. Love the chonky CTRL, OPTION, CMD and Spacebar keys.
Before purchase, I read reviews that some of the keys would tend to stick. Indeed, after a few months, the ‘F’ key decided that it was going to work according to its own plan. So the reviews were right. A good keyboard if they would just fix their d*mn key issues.
Working on building a new custom keyboard to replace it.
Agreed. Want to add that (in my opinion, at least) Lucas’s Episodes I, II & III didn’t do the series any favors either. :-(
AI has failed so many times it has joined the junkpile of online personalities that are so bad we can no longer tell the difference between their actual errors and those created as sarcasm.
The Dead Sarcasm Cult.
Yup. It’s the same fucked-up psychology corps use for their customers. Like running ads for super discounts for new customers. Existing customers that have never missed a payment? Fuck-em. Instead of giving 1% “thank you” for good customers, corps would rather lose the good customers and pay a premium to find new ones.
So it goes.
And fuck Carly Fiorina for destroying HP.
This happens to anyone rich and/or famous. People flock to them to attempt to ply them with flattery or leach money in some way. Consider how many people say that Trump is a genius.
True. I’m gonna go out on a limb and add another reason: Money in politics.
When I was a kid, if a politician was accused of taking bribes, they would fall over themselves to deny the accusation.
Later, the politician would simply reply, “It was pay for access, not a bribe.”
Now, they don’t even respond to such accusations. Bribes are so normalized that we don’t even notice them anymore.
(For the pendants, yes there are pols that are occasionally punished for literally accepting bribes, some recently. My point is that there is little difference between literally accepting money and storing it in a freezer and having several billionaires fund your re-election campaign with dozens of legal loopholes.)
This allows The Rich to have a very heavy hand on the tiller for which way elections go. If rich folks weren’t pouring big money into elections (corporations are people too!) I’m willing to bet at least one political party in the US would be dead now.
What’s to keep Equity firms from buying those 2 million homes? Won’t that just leave us back where we are now?
Do we think we can build more homes than Equity firms can spend other people’s money on?
Yeah, FaceTime. But how often do people use it in practice?
Good point about Zoom. Business clearly like Zoom for meetings, but big business is still hammering BTO hard. Will Zoom be marginalized when they finally force in-person meetings?
Also, the last few companies I worked for that did Zoom meetings, everyone kept their cameras off.
Probably the same guy that says inflation is “not a problem/getting better/under control”.
Are these people just available for hire by the media? Are they like professional witnesses for “two sides” reporting?
A lot of this confusion is beneficial to the ones creating it. Confusing and poorly defined terms means more people spend time arguing rather than insisting the problems get discussed and solved in a rational way.
People in power benefit from the confusion. While we fight each other, we’re not fighting them.
Did you really expect anything else?
