I would recommend Digital Ocean for a VPS. With you being in the US latency should be decent and you can pick whichever is closer to you either SF or NY. My Lemmy instance is hosted on DO even.

2·11 months agoI am going to give SearXNG a try myself. It looks promising. I hadn’t heard of it before today, but I am setting up a container for it now.
I hope it is not true but if they do sell please sell to anyone but Nexstar.
This is a great tool and one that was badly needed. If I didn’t run my own instance, I would definitely use this.
I would not say he is going to be a HOFer but his second drive was decent.
