Only one of the two rockets actually reach space. There’s no comparison.
Technically, the New Shepard capsule briefly crosses the Kármán line.
You are correct that there is no comparison though. Starship could probably put the entire New Shepard vehicle into orbit as a payload.
Okay… One reaches a technical definition of space. The other reaches orbit.
Blue Origin has yet to put anything aside from a handful of its engines into orbit. We’ll see if that changes in the next couple months.
If we’re going to be pedantic: Starship hasn’t reached orbit yet either. All flights so far were suborbital.
holy fuck that was insane
Stolen straight from the NSF stream 😂
Indeed :)
I find the defendant not guilty! I think the NSF guy’s idea involved replacing the woman & her arms and the daughter with the tower & “chopstick” arms, and a Super Heavy rocket booster (which is in the process of being caught by the arms). Something like that?
The closest I’ve seen is this. Not great!
So I tried getting Chat GPT to do a better one for me. This did not go well 😂 But surely someone with experience should be able to cajole a suitable generative AI tool to do a good job of it?
I wouldn’t have even cared about NS if it was the only thing happening today
