Its not that they are trying and aren tsucceeding, its that they never even try and do not have a party platform at all.

How many betrayals since mid January from our own party?

Joined republicans to take control of university partnerships and relationships with foreign universities https://jonathancohn.medium.com/31-house-democrats-join-the-gops-latest-assault-on-higher-ed-redux-90503b4ea3bd

Had enough Dem members “absent” that they couldnt block a tarriff vote https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/5278333-senate-democrats-tariff-vote/

Joined republicans to vote to censure Al greene for protesting Trumps speech https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/06/politics/al-green-censure-trump-protest-house/index.html

Joined republicans to threaten nonprofit groups that voiced any concern for Palestinian lives https://www.commondreams.org/news/hr-9495-passed

Joined republicans to advance trumps crypto grift plan https://www.newsweek.com/democrats-are-joining-republicans-trumps-alarming-crypto-agenda-opinion-2041377 and https://youngkim.house.gov/2024/05/23/democrats-join-republicans-to-pass-fit21-act-a-new-era-for-crypto-regulation-in-the-u-s/

Joined republicans to kill drilling environmental rules https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2025/02/25/congress/democrats-republicans-cra-drilling-rule-00206128

Joined republicans to ban any sanctuary city policies in the state of New Hampshire https://newhampshirebulletin.com/2025/02/07/house-democrats-join-republicans-in-passing-anti-sanctuary-city-bill-pointing-to-compromise/

voted against their party on new voter ID laws that make it harder for married women who changed their name to vote. https://www.newsweek.com/full-list-democrats-who-voted-pass-save-act-2058404

all reaching across the aisle and folding on important fights, just Like Biden urged them to do in his farewell address https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/biden-urges-incoming-democratic-lawmakers-to-reach-across-the-aisle-during-trumps-term

And then they whine that they are simply powerless after they betray us again and again.

I dont think dems can win another election at this point. They are hated by their own voters now, because of stuff like I listed above, and I dont imagine they will stop doing this self sabotaging stuff. So its time for something besides dem vs rethug.
