Because for whatever reason people need to find more ways to fuck with animals. Despite animal agriculture completely destroying the environment, causing deforestation not to mention an array of health problems people feel the need to find more uses for dead animals.
You do realize that tallow is often considered a waste product right? Frankly speaking there are worse things to do with it, though making firebombs is a damned fun thing to do. Correction it’s tedious as fuck but the end result is fun.
Oh it’s just a waste product so let’s create more demand for it by creating a bunch of products around it. Is it considered a waste product if you’re literally selling it as a product? Leather is “just a waste product” too, let’s encourage people to buy more of it because that makes sense.
