The way I interpreted it is that Trump might win again and people aren’t keen on stopping it. I’m so fucking sick of these people that hate Biden enough to let Trump win. It’s like people forgot how anxiety inducing those 4 years were compared to Biden’s presidency. Biden is the best President in decades, but that’s because things have been shitty for so long. Carter was the last president who was better than Biden, but people didn’t appreciate him, and he certainly wasn’t perfect. FDR had some serious negatives, but he accomplished so much. Nixon started the fall into awfulness, with Republicans constantly lowering the bar and Democrats following suit. Democrats have finally stopped moving right and started to move towards something reasonable, and if they’re successful, Republicans might be permanently marginalized like in California unless they return to sanity.
For the last 20 to 30 years, every president has been disliked for most of their term. The only reason Bush wasn’t was because of 9/11, and the public was dead wrong in their assessment of how well he was doing.
We had Carter and Obama. Not saying either were the best but they were better in some ways.
Obama was worse than Biden except for maybe the ACA. It has a lot to do with where the Democrats were back then, but he was actually fairly conservative.
